Portfolio: Innovations in Electronic Design

Welcome to our project showcase. Here, we highlight a selection of custom electronics designs, innovative builds, and complex challenges we've successfully engineered. Each project demonstrates our commitment to quality, ingenuity, and practical solutions.

Specialization: Extending the Life of Unsupported Systems

When manufacturers deem legacy equipment "unsupported," clients are often told that costly replacement is the only option. We provide a crucial alternative by specializing in the complex, component-level diagnostics required to give high-value systems a second life.

Our success is built on a deep, fundamental understanding of electronic principles, not on familiarity with a specific device's application. This allows us to engineer solutions for sophisticated equipment—often without schematics or documentation—even if we are encountering the device for the very first time. As an independent engineering firm, our only objective is to find a solution, not to sell new equipment.

Project Example: Enhancing a Crosslink CXL Medical Device

A Crosslink CXL device was brought to us for repair after it failed due to an incompatible external power supply. Our in-depth analysis revealed an underlying vulnerability in the device's power management that compromised its consistency and left critical components susceptible to damage.

Our solution went beyond a simple component replacement. We engineered an external enhancement that isolates the device from power supply fluctuations, ensuring stable performance and adding a crucial layer of operational safety that fortifies the original design. This was all implemented non-invasively, preserving the integrity of the device's sealed enclosure. We have applied this same first-principles approach to other unsupported ophthalmic equipment, including OCT and Orbscan machines.

Project Example: Advanced LED Matrix Control System

This project involved the ground-up design of a sophisticated control system for a large-scale LED matrix. Our engineering team developed the complete solution, including a custom PCB for optimal signal integrity, advanced microcontroller firmware for complex animation rendering, and a network interface for remote content management.

Key Engineering Achievements:

  • Custom high-speed digital PCB design.
  • Embedded firmware for real-time graphics processing.
  • Development of a custom communication protocol.

Project Example: Re-engineering a Legacy Industrial Controller

A client approached us with an obsolete industrial controller vital to their operations but failing due to unavailable components. Our team undertook a detailed analysis of the original system to inform the design of a modern, FPGA-based replacement. This new design not only replicated original functionality but also added enhanced diagnostics and connectivity, future-proofing the client's investment.
